
Dr. Aman Goyal, MBBS, MS (General Surgery) is a highly accomplished surgical resident, researcher, and global scholar, currently pursuing a Master of Surgery in General Surgery at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry. He completed his MBBS at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Bathinda, where he gained extensive clinical exposure, assisted in over 100 surgical procedures, and contributed to 10 published research projects.
Driven by an early fascination with the mechanics of the human body, Dr. Goyal focuses on surgical gastroenterology, oncology, and robotic surgery, combining technical precision with a patient-centered approach. Beyond his clinical training, he has established himself as a prolific researcher, leading over 60 projects in robotic surgery, metabolic and obesity surgery, surgical oncology, and AI-assisted surgery. He is proficient in research methodology, biostatistics, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and manuscript development, mentoring peers and students along the way.
Dr. Goyal serves as Chair of the Medical Student Committee and Co-Director of Robotic Time Zone at TROGSS – The Robotic Global Surgical Society. He is the Founder, Advisor, and Past President of the student surgical society Magister Chirurgiae and leads the Global Surgical Research Program. His contributions include international collaborations, conference presentations, and curriculum development, including simulation models for robotic and laparoscopic training.
